It takes up the large field in the park and the second field is used as an overflow car park. We had to pay £5 each to get in and were handed a brochure without much explanation of the event. I was a bit put out to have to pay £10 for our family to go in to look around a carboot sale (normally 30p) and to look at some classic cars.
They also had two rings for demonstrations, one which was an old fashioned cannon competition and the other for things like a dog show. The large ring had great viewing but wasn't constantly in use and the smaller ring had limited visibility, so the dog show lacked entrants. There was at tannoy system that announced various activities so it could be heard throughout the grounds.
There were lots of lovely cars this red American Cadillac and bike were two of my favourites with a springbok painted on it and a saddle made of springbok fur.
I don't think there was a need to charge people to enter the event, but it was well attended so hopefully they raised their target. It's not clear where the proceeds go, and from the feedback of other visitors it will be interesting to see what the turnout will be next year.
