Travel Tuesday: Salcombe

By Diana-

Salcombe is a little seaside town in the depths of Devon, but for such a small little harbour town it's on the map and is a known destination by the yachties and city folk.

It's cobbled streets are only wide enough for one car and there are little boutique shops and well-known high street brands that are buzzing with activity.

There are lots of individually run restaurants, but our top 3 were:

Victoria Inn-

It's a pub on the quay with lots of personal touches run by a couple Tim & Liz. They locally source the delicious food, specialty mixed drinks with Tim & Liz's customised concoctions, it also caters to dogs and children.

Wardroom- is a little cafe tucked away at the back of Crew Clothing Company. It's buzzy atmosphere is a great place for morning coffee and elevenses. They serve the most delicious white crab meat sandwich- nothing fancy just a simple salad with house dressing to garnish, but out of all the crab I had, that was my favourite!

Winking Prawn

This restaurant is a funky beach restaurant with a great atmosphere. They've personalised it at every stage- fancy dress box, smorgasbord of sweet treats, kids little beach play area. Just a fun and funky place to go for a drink or enjoy a meal!

Salcombe is also known for it's many personal beaches. Most are privately owned but open for visitors as long as they're respectful- no litter left behind or bonfires etc.

This relaxing town is a hub of food, fresh air and fun!
